Why Manuka Honey is the "Liquid Gold" Your Skin Needs

Updated: Apr 11

Why Manuka Honey is the "Liquid Gold" of Skincare

The Search for Simplicity

At Infini & Co., I’ve always lived by "Skinimalism"—using fewer products, but making sure those products are packed with the highest quality ingredients I can find. When I was looking for something to help my family’s skin stay hydrated and healthy without a shelf full of lotions, I kept coming back to one ingredient: Manuka Honey.

It’s often called "Liquid Gold," and for good reason. It’s not just a luxury; it is a powerhouse for skin health, and it’s why I made it the star of our latest bar.

What Makes Manuka Different?

You might be used to the honey in your tea, but Manuka is in a league of its own.

  • Nature’s Ultimate Healer: Manuka honey contains high levels of Methylglyoxal (MGO). To put it simply, this gives the honey potent antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. When I see dry patches or "tired" skin on my girls, this is what I reach for to help soothe and repair that skin barrier naturally.

  • Deep Hydration That Lasts: Manuka is a natural humectant. That’s a fancy science word for an ingredient that draws moisture from the air and locks it into your skin. While some soaps leave you feeling "squeaky clean" (which usually just means your skin is stripped and dry), this bar leaves us feeling supple and hydrated.

The Restorative Blend

I didn’t stop at honey. To make sure this bar felt like a true recovery session, I paired it with:

  • Shea Butter: For that creamy, rich lather we all love.

  • Avocado Oil: To deliver vitamins A, D, and E deep into the skin.

  • Plant-Based Oils: No harsh synthetics—just the nutrients your skin actually craves.

Crafted with Care in Washington

I don't use fillers or "fragrance oils" that cause irritation. Every bar is crafted right here in Washington with pure, botanical goodness. If you’re ready to simplify your routine and give your skin the "Liquid Gold" treatment, this is where I recommend you start.
